If you're brand new to yoga we have some recommendations for you below. If you are simply new to Studio Tula, there are a few things you may like to know before your first session with us, so carry on to the end of this page

Your first class
Here are the basics of what you need to know/prepare
Bring a water bottle Aim to arrive to your class well hydrated
Arrive on an empty stomach To make the most of your practise, we recommend not eating at least 1-2 hours before your yoga session
You provide your own yoga mat We happily rent out yoga mats from reception for $2, your first use is free. All mat hire payments go directly to our TulaBee Fund
Arrive with time to spare Please aim to arrive at the studio at least 10 minutes early to claim your booking/sign in, and set up for your class. Arriving early is especially important if you are new to the studio. You’ll need time to find us, fill in our new client form, and receive a brief studio orientation

We always recommend that you begin by attending our Yoga Foundations Classes. These classes are specifically offered to provide you with an informative and comprehensive introduction to yoga at Tula. These sessions are down to earth, safe & friendly, and will set you on the right footing for a long lasting & beneficial yoga practise.

We recommend that anyone who has been practicing for a while and is loving the classes sign up for our Beginners Yoga Course. This is a 10-hour course spread over 2 consecutive weekends, which offers you a much more encompassing and holistic understanding of yoga. It is also a great way to meet and get to know others at a similar point along their yoga journey.

What kind of pass should i buy?
We recommend that all new comers to the studio begin by signing up for our $49 for 30 Day Unlimited Yoga Introductory Pass. This is a great way to find your way around a few of our classes (Yin and Gentle Yoga are perfect for beginners too), get a feel for the studio, and meet our instructors.

Where are we?
Make sure to set aside extra time if you are not sure where the studio is. We are located on the first floor of the Bing Harris Building. The easiest entrance to use is on Princes Street, to the left side of Nectar Cafe. You enter through a big glass door, and make your way up to the first floor using the stairs or lift. We are tucked in beside Dal Vivo Hairdressers.
